Community is Healing is a guided conversation for anyone who lives, works, or regularly spends time in Noblesville. Together, we’ll listen, share stories, and reflect on how our community can support healing in everyday moments.

Science is catching up to something many of us already sense: belonging is good medicine. When we feel truly known and connected, it changes everything, including our health, our resilience, and our sense of home.

Join us for an evening of honest, hopeful conversation about what belonging really feels like, what gets in the way, and what we can do—together and individually—to make Noblesville a place where more people feel truly connected.

Stop by and see us at HATCH Fest in downtown Noblesville.

HATCH stands for Hamilton County Arts, Technology, Craft, and Heritage. This festival is a multi-faceted celebration of all that makes Hamilton County such a wonderful place! Artisans, Makers, and Craftspeople from Noblesville and surrounding areas will have amazing one-of-a-kind creations to sell, and area nonprofits and businesses will be on display around the Hamilton County Courthouse Square and Logan Street with activities, demonstrations, performances, and more. Organized by Noblesville Creates.

We'll explore our shared story as a nation — the complicated, the beautiful, and what it means to belong to something this old and this unfinished.

America is one of the few nations in history built not on a shared ethnicity or a single piece of land, but on a set of ideals — that every person matters, and that together we can create something none of us could accomplish alone. For 250 years, those ideals have been our common ground, even when we've disagreed about their meaning or how to live by them. They are the thread that runs through every chapter of our story and unites a nation of many peoples, backgrounds, and stories.

This year, as America turns 250, we're gathering neighbors to reflect on the stories that connect us to that larger story. How did your family come to be here? What chapter of history feels close to home? What do you hope future generations say about what people like us did with this moment?

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

TOPIC: Beyond the Noise: Reclaiming Hope in Our Civic Life

The political environment has left many people feeling divided, discouraged, and exhausted. This Community Conversation offers a simple, respectful space to step back from the noise, listen across differences, and reflect on what kind of community we want to build together.

This is not a debate. It is a guided conversation designed to help people share honestly, listen well, and reconnect with what matters most in our civic life.

Join us for an evening of conversation, reflection, and community.

What to expect:

• A welcoming and structured conversation

• Space to listen and be heard

• No preparation required

• A focus on understanding, not arguing

Together, we’ll explore questions like:

• What has the political climate cost us?

• What do we most care about beneath the noise?

• What kind of community do we want for Noblesville?

Beyond the Quote: Unpacking King's Legacy and Building Bridges Today

Every Martin Luther King Day, we see the same quotes and images shared across social media. But Dr. King's life, vision, and work were far more complex and challenging than a few memorable lines can capture.

This Martin Luther King Day, we invite you to go deeper. Join us for a Community Conversation that moves beyond the memes to engage with the fuller picture of King's legacy - including the parts that challenge and convict us. Together, we'll explore what his vision of the Beloved Community asks of us today and how we can build bridges of hope and justice in our own lives and community.

Through structured, respectful dialogue, we'll share personal reflections and grapple with questions like:

• Why do some parts of King's message get more attention than others?

• What makes it difficult to engage with the harder, more convicting parts of his legacy?

• What would it look like to actually live out King's vision here in Noblesville?

No preparation needed. Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to engage honestly.

This Community Conversation is presented through a collaborative partnership among Bethel AME Church, First Community Church, Noblesville First United Methodist Church, and SERVE Village. We are proud to join together for a weekend of events honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., featuring engaging and reflective activities from Friday, January 16, through Monday, January 19, 2026.

Community Conversations is a chance for our community to listen to and talk with each other. The goal is civil conversation, increased understanding, and widening perspectives that result in a more welcoming and inclusive community.

Every Community Conversation will be facilitated by a trained Table Host and include a conversation guide to help ensure an enjoyable and constructive conversation.
